The mold base is the support of the mold. For example, on the die-casting machine, the various parts of the mold are combined and fixed according to certain rules and positions, and the part that enables the mold to be installed on the die-casting machine is called the mold base. It consists of an ejection mechanism, a guide mechanism, and a pre-reset mechanism. Composed of mold foot pads and seat plates.
At present, the application of molds involves every product (such as automobiles, aerospace, daily necessities, electrical communications, medical products, etc.). As long as there are a large number of products, molds are used, and mold bases are an integral part of molds. The current precision requirements for mold bases will be determined at different levels according to product requirements.
The mold base is a semi-finished product of the mold, which is composed of various steel plates and parts, which can be said to be the skeleton of the entire mold. Due to the large differences between mold bases and mold processing involved, mold manufacturers will choose to order mold bases from mold base manufacturers, and use the production advantages of both parties to improve overall production quality and efficiency.

In addition to purchasing customized mold bases according to individual mold needs, mold manufacturers can also choose standardized mold base products. Standard mold bases are diversified in styles, and the delivery time is short, and they can even be used immediately, providing mold manufacturers with higher flexibility. Therefore, the popularity of standard mold bases is constantly improving.
Simply put, the mold base has a pre-forming device, a positioning device and an ejection device. The general configuration is panel, A board (front template), B board (rear template), C board (square iron), bottom plate, thimble bottom plate, thimble bottom plate, guide post, back pin and other parts.
Above is a diagram of a typical mold base structure. The right part is called the upper mold, and the left part is called the lower mold. When injection molding, the upper and lower molds are combined first, so that the plastic is formed in the molding part of the upper and lower modules. Then the upper and lower molds will be separated, and the finished product will be pushed out by the ejection device based on the lower mold.
